Are you ready for a Performance
Management Assessment?
For years CCI has been offering our customers a
critical first step service to assess their Business
Intelligence and Enterprise Planning needs,
environment, readiness, data, infrastructure, etc.
This short term engagement is designed to help
better understand the organization’s current
situation, define the vision which it desires and
begin to build a plan on how to bridge the gap.

If this is your first trip down the
path towards Performance Management and you’re planning
to implement either a Business Intelligence or
Enterprise Planning solution as your first step, this
program may be a smart starting point. Over a period of
3 to 4 days we will assess your organization from a
number of perspectives. We’ll need access to several
individuals including an IT person who knows the
infrastructure, a senior Finance manager, a DBA familiar
with the relevant data sources, a couple of business
users, and a few key managers or executives. We may also
need access to a sample of your data.
At the end of the engagement we will return to you a
complete Management Report which encapsulates our
findings. This will include a description and assessment
of your current environment including infrastructure,
data, applications, etc. It will also begin to define
what the final solution should include along with
recommendations for the appropriate mix of tools and
technologies. Finally it will provide a high level plan
on how to get from where you are currently to where you
ideally want to be. This includes the skills you will
need access to, the supporting technologies, an outline
of the architecture, and a description of what the final
solution will include from a functionality perspective.
At that point you have several options: do nothing, do
it yourself, seek another firm to design and develop it
with or for you, or allow us to assist you. Regardless
of the path you choose, you have a good blueprint and
some solid information from which to start.
Many customers follow up a BI Assessment with a Proof of
Concept to be able to actually see and feel a working
model of what could be your final solution. But that’s
entirely up to you.
