This course is geared towards Business users who need to explore their information dimensionally–by Who, What, When, Where types of questions. Typical questions might be sales revenue by region, Patient stay per diagnosis, utilities costs per housing unit over the last 5 years. It teaches the capabilities and features of IBM Cognos 8 Analysis Studio, How to analyze data using Analysis Studio, and How to build basic and advanced Analysis Studio reports.

Course Notes:
This course is delivered using a general IBM Cognos 8 demo application as the basis for the workshops, examples, and class discussion. If desired, custom courseware using client’s data may also be created. There is an additional fee for customization of the course materials.

Recommended Prerequisites:
IBM Cognos 8 Query Studio is helpful, but not required. An understanding of typical reports created for your enterprise is a plus. Familiarity with Windows (drag and drop), use of a web browser is desirable.
