CCI's primary business is designing, developing and implementing customized Data Integration, Performance Management, and Predictive Analytic solutions using the software tool set from our primary technology partners IBM Cognos and SAS.

Creative Computing, Inc., an IBM Cognos Platinum Reseller, Partner is seeking experienced Cognos consultants. The individuals in these senior positions will have the responsibility of working with, and often leading, Business Intelligence (BI) projects to design, develop, and implement custom solution of Creative Computing’s customers. These individuals will be required to work at various customer sites throughout the year and have the opportunity to work with the entire Cognos tool suite including IBM Cognos 8 as well as ReportNet, PowerPlay, Impromptu, and DataManager. Ability to travel is a plus, but not a requirement.

This individual will be required to perform a variety of functions including:

• Installation and configuration of the IBM Cognos tool set
• Defining user requirements of new BI systems
• Designing and developing cubes, catalogs, models and packages
• Developing simple and complex reports
• Setting up and maintaining system security
• Utilizing a Best Practices Approach in the design and development of the systems to ensure quality and
reliability
• Ability to troubleshoot existing systems, then correct
flaws.
• Ability to enhance, and maintain existing BI systems

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience with the IBM Cognos tool
suite
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of database/datamart design concepts (Ralph Kimball, etc)
• Ability to work with business users and translate
information needs into meaningful reports and analytical
structures
• Self Confident manner and a tenacious approach to
problem solving
