Impromptu environment
Brief:
This course focuses on the skills needed
to set up, manage, and maintain Impromptu
applications for information consumers.
It also discusses the responsibilities
of an administrator in an enterprise
environment. Workshops will provide
hands-on examples of how to setup the
user environment to ensure that user
data is accessible and meaningful. Security
implementation, user and user class
setup, catalog conditions, filters and
prompts will also be explored. Finally,
deployment and maintenance issues that
can impact the Impromptu environment
will be addressed in detail.
Course Notes:
This course can be delivered using an
Impromptu demo database, or upon request,
your instructor will utilize your own
database and catalogs as the basis for
the workshops, examples, and class discussion.
There is an additional fee for customization
of the course materials.

Introduction to Impromptu or Equivalent
Experience. Database knowledge, and
specifically knowledge of your company’s
business data is a plus.
