Duration: 2 Days
Audience: New Users to Impromptu
Brief:
The course covers an overview of the Impromptu catalog, which presents a
user’s view of the database in a logical business manner. Hands-on workshops
throughout the course provide attendees with the ability to apply Impromptu
techniques to create basic reports. The skills of selecting data, filtering,
sorting and grouping, highlighting exceptions, and creating basic calculations
and summaries will be taught. Finally, users will learn how to add finishing
touches including colors, borders, graphics, and fonts to make their reports
more effective.
Course Notes:
This class is sometimes delivered in 1 day if the students are familiar
with reporting and databases. 2 days allows more time for typical students
to absorb the material and work through the exercises without feeling rushed.
This course can be delivered using an Impromptu demo database, or upon request
your instructor will utilize your own database and catalogs as the basis for the
workshops, examples, and class discussion. There is an additional fee for
customization of the course materials.
Recommended Prerequisites:
None, although familiarity with Microsoft Windows is beneficial for this course.
