IBM Cognos PowerPlay Transformer/Administration Training Course Outline

Brief:
This course provides insight into the development of a PowerPlay application. Effective use of PowerPlay Transformer will yield cubes that will provide great business benefits. This course emphasizes the dimension map as a one-page specification guide to design and development of data-rich cubes. Participants will learn how to produce a data-driven model, using Transformer, which can then be customized to meet specific needs. Further, techniques for the production and deployment of finalized PowerPlay cubes will be reviewed in detail.

Course Notes:
This course is delivered using a general PowerPlay demo application as the basis for the workshops, examples, and class discussion. If desired, custom courseware using client’s data may also be created. There is an additional fee for customization of the course materials.

Recommended Prerequisites:
PowerPlay Exploring or Reporting or equivalent experience using Cognos 8 (Analysis Studio, Query Studio, or Report Studio).
