Brief:
This course provides attendees with the skills necessary to be an effective user of PowerPlay Web and Upfront. The course begins with an introduction to Upfront, Cognos’ dynamic web portal (Upfront is basically the menu interface to web reports). Next the basics of multi-dimensional reporting will be covered, and participants will learn how to use PowerPlay to extract key performance information from their data. All of the basic functionality of PowerPlay Web Explorer will be covered. This course contains numerous hands on exercises and workshops, which will reinforce the key concepts taught.

Course Notes:
This course is delivered using a general PowerPlay demo application as the basis for the workshops, examples, and class discussion. It may be customized to include your envronment. There is an additional fee for customization of the course materials.

Recommended Prerequisites:
None, although familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic web browsing techniques are beneficial for this course.
